Black holes - Destroyers or Recyclers

More than a century ago Albert Einstein presented his theory of relativity. Through this theory objects like Black holes were thought to be theoretically possible, even though Einstein himself had reservations about such objects. Finally photographed in 2019 (Super massive black hole at the center of Messier 87 galaxy), black holes are still mysterious. Maybe because we still don't know much about them. They are known for devouring everything that gets too close to them, even light. I'm sure that you know this already. But what if they play a much bigger role than this?

The prevailing theory is that the universe started with a big bang and the expansion of the universe is accelarating and the universe will keep on expanding. There is another theory known as the Cyclic theory which gets attention from time to time. According to this theory the universe does not have a start or end point and that the current big bang is just one of many. If we look at nature we can see cycles, because nothing is truly ever created or destroyed it just changes its state. I know that is not a proof for the cyclic theory but still for arguments sake we will use it as proof.

Almost every known galaxy has a Super massive black hole at it's center. The black holes may very well be sucking up everything back together for the next bang. Another thing is that if black holes collide then there can be only one outcome, they both merge and a more massive black hole is left. This is all just hypothetical of course but, there might be an upper-limit to the mass a black hole can achieve and once that mass is reached there is a big bang and the whole cycle starts over.

This is very interesting and I could keep writing but I would really appreciate your views in the comments section below, as I just want to learn more about this too.

  1. For me the big bang will end in the big crunch...and the process will start all over again...and again

  2. Since the existence of this universe changes in movements and resistance between planets are considered part of a system, everything has to be collapsed one day and every second we are going towards that big bang, though it's designed as a very slow process...
